MERCADO AMBULANTE EN EL ENTORNO DEL ACUEDUCTO ALESSANDRINO. ROMA

El objeto de proyecto consiste en la ordenación de un área en torno al acueducto Alessandrino, para su uso diario, y también de mercadillo semanal. Además se diseña un puesto para dicho mercado, que ha de ser desmontable y transportable. 

 

Buscando inspiración para generar una ordenación arbitraria, dí con la obra "Summertime 09" de Pollock. De igual forma que en dicho cuadro una serie de manchas de color genera el libre movimiento del negro, en el mercadillo los puestos generan el libre movimiento de las personas. Este movimiento deriva de la intención de romper tanto con los esquemas habituales de un mercadillo, como con la gran linealidad que nos aporta el acueducto Alessandrino.

 

La intervención el resto de días de la semana unifica a una misma cota todo el terreno, separando el tráfico rodado del peatoanal con una línea verde. Además, otras líneas verdes conectan ambos lados del espacio peatonal, marcándose además parte de la distribución del mercadillo de esta misma forma.

The aim of the project, was to design an area in the surroundings of the Alessandrino aqueduct for its usage as a street market, but also for an average day. In addition, a transportable, weightless and detachable stand was to be designed.

​

The inspiration came from Jackson’s Pollock painting “Summertime 09”. As its spirit emerges from a series of random colourful spots connected by the freedom of the painters brush filled with black, a parallelism is made with the usage of this market, where the stands are the ones that connect the random flow of people. This movement arises from the intention of breaking not only with the regular street market structure, but also with the linearity of Alessandrino aquedudct.

On week days, the intervention unifies the ground to the same level splitting the car road from pedestrians with a greeen line. Moreover, more green lines connect both sides of  the aqueduct helping this way to the distribution of the street market.
